How to Manage Recurring Orders?
Recurring Orders let you automate repeat rentals for customers who rent the same equipment on a regular schedule. Instead of creating a new order every week or month, set it up once and Rentablez handles the rest — automatically generating invoices on the billing cycle you define.
Before You Start
You need an existing order to enable recurring. The order must be in Reserved or Rented Out status.
How it Works
When an order is set to recur, Rentablez automatically generates invoices based on the billing cycle and schedule you define. Each recurring invoice inherits the order’s customer, assets, and pricing configuration.
Recurring Order Details
Open an order with recurring enabled and click the Recurring indicator to view the Recurring Order Details modal. This shows:

| Billing Cycle Start Date | When the first invoice is generated |
| Billing Period | How often invoices are created (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly) |
| Invoice Generation | How many days before the billing date the invoice is generated (default: 2 days) |
Recurring Statuses
A recurring order can be in one of these statuses:

| Active | Automatic invoice generation is active for this recurring order |
| Pending | Recurring invoices are set up but not yet active |
| Cancelled | Recurring invoices were cancelled — no more invoices will be generated |
Billing Periods
Choose the frequency that matches your customer’s rental agreement:

Cancel a Recurring Series
- Open the recurring order.
- Cancel the recurring through the order settings.
- Confirm the cancellation.
Note: Once cancelled, the system records the cancellation date. Existing invoices that have already been generated are not affected — only future automatic generation is stopped.
