How to Use the Financial Dashboard?
The Financial Dashboard in Rentablez shows you the health of your business in one screen — how much came in, how much went out, and whether you’re making or losing money. Navigate to Expenses → Dashboard to open it.
How It Works
Pick a time period and the dashboard updates every number and chart automatically. Use it at the end of each month to review performance, or check it any time you need a quick pulse on the business.
How’s the Business Doing? — KPI Cards
Four cards at the top give you an instant financial snapshot for the selected period.
Total Revenue shows the combined income from all rental orders in that period.
Total Expenses shows the sum of all operational expenses plus any maintenance costs logged.
Net Profit / Loss is revenue minus expenses — shown in green when you’re profitable and red when you’re not.
Expense Ratio tells you what percentage of your revenue is being consumed by expenses. The lower this number, the healthier your margin.
Want a Different Period? — Time Range Selector
Use the time range selector to focus the dashboard on a specific window — This Month, Last Month, This Quarter, This Year, or a Custom Range with dates you pick. Every chart and KPI updates the moment you change the selection.
Is the Business Growing? — Revenue vs. Expense Trend
A chart tracks how your revenue and expenses move over time across the selected period. Use it to spot seasonal patterns in your rental income, identify months where costs spike, and check whether the gap between revenue and expenses is widening or narrowing.
Where Is the Money Going? — Expense Breakdown
A donut chart breaks your expenses down by category — Fuel, Repairs, Labor, Marketing, Insurance, and whatever else you track. Click any segment to drill into that category and see the individual expense entries behind it.
Need the Full Numbers? — Profit and Loss Table
Below the charts, a detailed table shows the financial breakdown period by period — revenue, expenses by category, net profit or loss, and running totals. Use this when you need the exact figures for accounting, reporting, or sharing with your team.
You’re All Set!
The Financial Dashboard gives you everything you need to understand where your Rentablez business stands financially. Check it regularly and use the expense tracker to keep costs up to date so the numbers stay accurate.
