How to Connect MCP (AI Agent)?

The MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration allows you to connect Rentablez with AI assistants and automation tools. Once connected, AI agents can query your rental data, check asset availability, look up customer information, and more — all through a secure, standardized protocol.

What is MCP?

MCP is an open protocol that allows AI tools (like Claude, ChatGPT, or custom agents) to securely interact with your business applications. Think of it as giving your AI assistant read access to your Rentablez data so it can answer questions and help with decision-making.

Before You Start

You need Settings Write permission to configure integrations.
Your Rentablez subscription must support the MCP feature.

Enable MCP Integration

Navigate to Settings → Integrations → MCP.
Toggle the MCP integration to Enabled.
The system will generate an API endpoint and authentication token for your workspace.
Copy these credentials — you’ll need them to configure your AI tool.

What Can AI Agents Do?

Once connected, AI agents can use the following tools provided by Rentablez:

Capability	Description
Asset Lookup	Search and retrieve asset details, availability, and pricing
Customer Info	Look up customer profiles, order history, and balances
Order Status	Check the current status of any rental order
Availability Check	Verify if specific assets are available for given dates
Reports	Query financial summaries and operational metrics

Note: AI agents have read-only access by default. They cannot create, modify, or delete any data unless explicitly permitted by your admin.

Security

All MCP connections are authenticated using workspace-specific tokens.
You can revoke access at any time by disabling the integration or regenerating tokens.
All AI agent queries are logged for audit purposes.
