Why Manage Customers?
Every rental starts with a customer. Rentablez keeps all your customer information — contact details, addresses, risk profiles, and rental history — in one place so your team always has the full picture before taking a booking.
How It Works
Each row shows the customer name, email, mobile number, risk profile, and whether the account is active or inactive. Click any row to open their profile.
Individual or Company? — Customer Types
Rentablez supports two customer types. Choose Individual for personal renters, freelancers, or anyone booking for themselves. Choose Company for business accounts where you also need to track a designated contact person.
You can set the type when creating the customer and it shows as a badge on their profile.
At a Glance — Risk Profiles
Each customer can carry a risk label based on their payment history or your own assessment. Rentablez shows this as a color-coded badge on the customer list so your team spots it before confirming a booking.
- Good — reliable, no concerns
- Low Risk — minor notes, generally trustworthy
- Medium Risk — exercise caution, review history
- High Risk — flag for manager approval before booking
- Barred — do not rent to this customer
Active or Inactive? — Customer Status
An Active customer can place new orders. Mark a customer Inactive to block new bookings without deleting their history. Existing orders are not affected. You can reactivate them at any time.
One Profile, Many Addresses — Address Management
Each customer can have multiple saved addresses — office, warehouse, event venue, home. Set a default billing address and a default shipping address so orders pre-fill correctly every time.
Rentablez warns you if a customer is missing an email or address, so your invoices and deliveries never go to the wrong place.
Already Have Customer Data? — Bulk Import
If you’re switching to Rentablez from another system, use the bulk upload to bring all your existing customers in at once via Excel or CSV. Download the template, fill it in, and upload — Rentablez maps the columns and imports everything.
