How to Manage Customers?
Rentablez keeps every customer’s contact details, addresses, and rental history together in one profile.
How It Works
Create a customer with just a name and type — that’s all Rentablez needs to get going. Add their email, phone, and addresses as the relationship grows. Every order you create for them links back to their profile automatically, so their history builds up over time without any extra work.
New Customer Walking In? — Create a Customer
Click + New Customer in the top right.
Enter the Customer Name and select the Customer Type — Individual for personal renters, Company for business accounts.
Click Create Customer. The profile opens immediately so you can add more details straight away.
Note: If you’re creating an order and the customer is new, you can create them on the spot from the order screen without coming back here first.
Something Needs Updating? — Edit Customer Details
Click on any customer row to open their profile, then click Edit Details.
Update any of the following: customer name, contact person, email, mobile, WhatsApp number, GST number, PAN number, credit limit, or discount percentage.
Click Save when done. Changes apply immediately across all areas of Rentablez.
Delivering to Multiple Locations? — Manage Addresses
Open the customer profile and click + Add Address.
Fill in the address details — name, house number, area, city, state, country, and pin code — then click Save.
To set a default, click the star icon in the Default Billing or Default Shipping column next to the address you want. The starred address pre-fills on every new order for that customer.
Note: You cannot delete an address that is currently set as a default. Set a different default first, then delete the old one.
Need to Block a Customer? — Change Status
Open the customer profile and click Mark as Inactive to block new orders for that customer. Confirm when prompted. Their existing orders stay active and unaffected.
To bring them back, open the same profile and click Mark as Active.
Can’t Find Someone? — Search and Filter
Use the search bar to find customers by name, email, or mobile number. Results update as you type.
Click Filter to filter by status — Active or Inactive. Active filters show as chips below the search bar. Click Clear All to reset.
Already Have a List? — Bulk Import
If your customer data lives in a spreadsheet, use the bulk upload to bring it all into Rentablez at once. Download the template, fill it with your existing data, and upload — Rentablez handles the rest.
