How to Create Contracts?

Rentablez lets you create legally binding contracts from your templates in seconds — no manual drafting needed. Click Contracts in the sidebar to get started.

How It Works

Pick the contract type, link it to an order or customer, choose a template, set the dates, and create. Rentablez fills in the details automatically. Then sign internally and send it to your customer for their signature.

One-Off Rental? — Create an Order Contract

Click Create Contract and select Order Contract.

You can also create an order contract directly from inside the order page — click Create Contract from the order’s Documents tab.

Search for the Order by number. Rentablez links the customer automatically.

Choose a Template — for example, Standard Rental Agreement. See How to Manage Contract Templates? to set these up.

Set the Effective Date (usually the order start date) and the Expiry Date (usually the order end date). If you leave the expiry blank, Rentablez defaults to one year.

Add any Special Terms that are specific to this deal.

Click Create Order Contract.

Long-Term Client? — Create a Master Agreement

Click Create Master Agreement.

Search for the Customer you want to cover.

Choose a Template built for master agreements.

Set the Effective Date and Expiry Date for how long the agreement runs.

Turn on Auto-Renewal if you want Rentablez to automatically extend the agreement at expiry. Set the renewal period in days.

Click Create Master Agreement.

Getting It Signed — The Signature Workflow

Once created, the contract opens with a Draft status.

Step 1 — Company signs first. Click Sign inside the contract and complete the internal signature. The contract moves to Pending Customer Signature.

Step 2 — Send to the customer. Click Send for Signature. Rentablez generates a secure link and sends a one-time password to the customer. The customer opens the link, verifies the OTP, and signs digitally.

Step 3 — Contract goes Active. Once the customer signs, the status updates to Active automatically. The full signing history — who signed, when, and from where — is recorded in the audit log.

Note: You need to sign internally before the customer link is sent. Rentablez enforces this order to maintain a proper audit trail.

You’re All Set!

Your contract is signed and active. Rentablez keeps a full record of every version, signature, and status change so you’re always covered.
