How to Create a Project?
Rentablez Projects let you group all the orders and enquiries for one job into a single view with a shared timeline and financials. Click Projects in the sidebar to get started.
How It Works
Create the project to set the scope — name, customer, and dates. Then link your existing orders and enquiries to it. Rentablez builds the Gantt chart and financial totals automatically from whatever you link.
Starting a New Job? — Create a Project
Click + Create Project.
Enter the Project Name — something descriptive like Summer Music Festival 2025.
Select the Customer who owns this project.
Set the Start Date and End Date — the overall span of the job, not individual orders.
Optionally add a Type to categorize it (Event, Construction, Long-term, etc.) and a Location for where the work is happening.
Click Create Project. Rentablez opens the project detail page immediately.
Adding Work to the Project — Link Orders and Enquiries
Open the project and go to the Overview tab where the Gantt chart lives.
Click Link Orders / Enquiries in the top right of the chart.
Choose whether you’re linking an Order or an Enquiry, then search for it by name or number.
Assign a Phase if your job has distinct stages — for example, Planning, Setup, Show Day, Teardown. This organizes items on the timeline so you can see each phase clearly.
Click Link. The item appears on the Gantt chart immediately and its value contributes to the project’s financial totals.
Repeat for as many orders and enquiries as the job requires.
Tracking Progress — Update the Status
As the job moves forward, update the Status on the project to reflect where things stand — from Planning through In Progress to Completed. This keeps your project list accurate and makes it easy to see at a glance what’s active.
You’re All Set!
