How to Set Customer Discount Limits?
Customer discount limits let you control how much discount your team can offer. By setting a maximum, you prevent accidental over-discounting and protect your margins.
How it Works
Navigate to Settings → Customer Discount. You will see a single control: the Max Discount Limit field under the heading Maximum Customer Discount.
Set the Maximum Discount
- Navigate to Settings → Customer Discount.
- Enter a value in the Max Discount Limit field (0–100%).
- Click Save.
What the values mean
| Value | Behavior |
|---|---|
| 0% | No limit — any discount percentage can be assigned to customers |
| 1–99% | Customers cannot be assigned a discount higher than this value |
| 100% | Effectively allows full discount (not recommended) |
Note: This setting controls what discount percentage can be assigned to a customer profile. When creating orders, the customer’s assigned discount is applied automatically.
Who Can Change This?
Only users with Settings Write permission can modify the discount limit. If you don’t see the Save button, ask your admin to grant you the appropriate role.
