How to Create a Standalone Invoice?

Sometimes you need to bill a customer for something that doesn’t come from a rental order — a consulting fee, a rush service charge, or a custom delivery cost. Rentablez Standalone Invoices handle exactly these situations.

Navigate to Finance → Standalone Invoices and click + Create Invoice to begin.

How It Works

Fill in who you’re billing and what you’re charging for, apply any taxes, and save. Rentablez keeps it as a draft until you’re ready to finalize and send.

Who Are You Billing? — Customer Details

Under Billed To, search for an existing customer or create a new one on the spot. Their saved billing address and GST details fill in automatically.

Your business details appear under Billed By and are pre-filled from your profile. Edit them here if a specific invoice needs different details.

What Are You Charging For? — Add Line Items

Click + Add Item for each charge on the invoice.

Enter an Item Description — for example, Consulting Fee or Rush Service Charge.

Add the HSN/SAC code if your tax setup requires it.

Set the Quantity and Rate — for example, 5 hours at ₹1,000 per hour.

Select the Tax profile to apply the correct GST or tax rate to that line.

Add a Discount for that specific line item if needed.

Repeat for every charge on the invoice.

Anything Extra on Top? — Additional Charges

At the invoice level you can add:

Shipping / Delivery — a flat charge for transport costs.

Extra Charges — custom fees like a processing fee or late fee.

Rounding — enable automatic rounding to the nearest whole number if your business requires it.

Ready to Send? — Finalize the Invoice

Review the Total Amount at the bottom of the invoice.

Click Save to store it as a Draft — you can still edit everything.

When the invoice is ready to go, finalize it to lock the details, generate the invoice number, and make it available to share or download.

You’re All Set!

Your standalone invoice is created. Record payments against it as the customer pays using How to Record Payments?.
