How to Set Up Flexible Pricing Tiers?

Rentablez lets you offer discounts for longer rental periods—like lower daily rates when customers rent for a week or month—to encourage extended bookings and maximize revenue. These tiers work alongside your base variant pricing.

Setting Up Flexible Pricing Tiers

  1. Go to Inventory → Select Asset
  2. Click Pricing tab
  3. You’ll see the Pricing Information table with all your variants and their base pricing.

Add Pricing Tier

  1. In the Flexible Pricing Tiers column, click + Add for the variant you want to configure.
  2. The Edit - Flexible Pricing Tiers for Asset dialog opens showing:
    • Variant name (e.g., Base Price, Lumens: 3000)
    • UOM (e.g., day)
    • List of existing tiers

Create New Tier

  1. Click + Add New Pricing Tier

Configure the tier:

  • From (day/week): Starting duration (e.g., 1)
  • To (day/week): Ending duration (e.g., 5)
  • Price/day (or week): Rate for this duration range (e.g., ₹7880/day)
  1. Click Save

View Your Tier Structure

The Flexible Pricing Tiers column shows configured tiers:

  • Base Price:
    • 1-5 days: ₹7880/day
    • 1-5 weeks: ₹9000/week
  • Lumens: 3000:
    • 1-5 days: ₹6000/day
  • Lumens: 5000:
    • 1-5 days: ₹8090/day
    • 1-5 weeks: ₹9000/week

Add Multiple Tiers for Volume Discounts

Create multiple tiers to offer better rates for longer rentals:

Example - Laptop Rental:

  • 1-5 days: ₹1500/day
  • 6-15 days: ₹1200/day
  • 16-30 days: ₹1000/day

Customers renting for 10 days pay ₹1200/day instead of ₹1500/day.

Edit Existing Tier

  1. Click the edit icon next to any tier in the Flexible Pricing Tiers column.
  2. Update the duration range or price.
  3. Click Save

How It Works

Customer rents Lumens: 5000 projector:

  • For 3 days: Pays ₹8090/day (1-5 days tier applies)
  • For 2 weeks: Pays ₹9000/week (1-5 weeks tier applies)

The system automatically applies the correct tier based on rental duration.
