How to Set Pricing for Variants?

Rentablez lets you set different rental prices for each variant configuration—like charging more for high-lumen projectors or larger tents—so customers see accurate pricing based on what they select.

Setting Up Base Pricing

During Asset Creation

  1. When creating a new asset, you’ll see Rental Rate Configuration:
  2. UOM Type: Select billing unit (Day/Week/Month) — configure these in UOM Settings
  3. Price: Enter base rental price (e.g., ₹350.00)

This creates your default pricing that applies when no specific variant is selected.

  1. Click Save to create the asset.

Adding Variant-Specific Pricing

After creating your asset and adding variant options, set different prices for each variant.

  1. Go to Inventory → Select Asset
  2. Click Pricing tab
  3. You’ll see existing pricing with your base price listed.

Add New Variant Pricing

  1. Under Pricing Information, click + Add
  2. The Add Pricing Rule for Asset dialog opens.

Configure the pricing:

  • Select Variant: Choose specific variant value from dropdown
    • Example: “Select Lumens” → pick 1000, 2000, 3000
    • Example: “Select Sockets” → pick 4, 6, 8
    • Note: Leave empty for base/default pricing
  • UOM: Select billing unit (Day/Week/Month)
  • Price: Enter rental price (e.g., ₹320.00)
  1. Click Create Price

View Your Pricing Structure

The Pricing Information table shows all configured prices:

  • Base Price
    • Day: ₹350.00
    • Week: ₹1800.00
  • Lumens: 1000
    • Day: ₹320.00
    • Week: ₹1600.00
  • Lumens: 2000
    • Day: ₹380.00
    • Week: ₹2000.00

Each variant can have different prices for different UOMs.

Update Existing Pricing

  1. Click the edit icon next to any price row
  2. The Update Rental Price dialog opens showing:
    • Variant Configuration (e.g., Variant Type: Lumens, Variant Value: 1000)
    • Current UOM
    • Current price
  3. Update the price and click Save Price

That’s It!

Each variant now has its own pricing. When customers order, they’ll see the correct price based on the variant they select, and you can charge appropriately for different configurations.

Your Rentablez pricing is now customized per variant—customers always see the right price for their chosen configuration.
